Postgame Notes
- The Hoosiers returned home to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Wednesday to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers and improved to 19-11 on the season and 9-10 in the Big Ten with a 72-67 victory.
- IU took their first double-digit lead of the game, 25-15, which was achieved at the end of an 8-0 run on a senior guard Devonte Green layup with 7:40 remaining in the first half.
- After trailing 34-32, Indiana started the second half on an 8-0 run to regain the lead, 40-34, which was capped off by a junior guard Aljami Durham 3-pointer with 16:54 remaining.
- A 6-0 run, capped off by two sophomore guard Rob Phinisee free throws with 45 seconds left in the game, gave IU their largest lead of the game, 71-60.
- Indiana outscored Minnesota in the paint, 52-38, while assisting on 14 of their 30 made field goals.
- The Hoosiers had five players score in double figures on Wednesday, which is only the second time that has been done this year (11/13/19 vs. North Alabama): freshman forward Trayce Jackson-Davis (18), redshirt junior forward Joey Brunk (12), Durham (11), Phinisee (11) and junior forward Justin Smith (10).
- Jackson-Davis tallied a team-high 18 points and finished with his 11th double-double of the season with 10 rebounds.
- Brunk nearly picked up his second double-double of the season with 12 points and eight rebounds.
- Durham scored 11 points, while recording four assists in 29 minutes.
- Phinisee recorded 11 points and six rebounds, while dishing out a team-high five assists.
- Smith scored 10 points and grabbed two boards, while picking up two steals.
- Green scored eight points and dished out three assists.
- Redshirt sophomore forward Race Thompson tallied two points, while grabbing four rebounds.
- Freshman guard Armaan Franklin picked up three rebounds and an assist.
- Redshirt Freshman forward Jerome Hunter picked up 10 minutes of playing time.
- Senior forward De'Ron Davis recorded three minutes of action.
- The Hoosiers will come back to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall at Noon on Saturday, March 7 to close out their regular season on Senior Day against Wisconsin.
