Postgame Notes
- The Hoosiers closed out the regular season with a 60-56 loss against the No.24-ranked Wisconsin Badgers at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Saturday afternoon. IU fell to 19-12 on the season and 9-11 in Big Ten Conference play.
- Despite the loss, Indiana still holds an all-time series lead over Wisconsin, 97-77.
- As part of the postgame Senior Day festivities, the program recognized seniors Devonte Green, De'Ron Davis and Adrian Chapman.
- In starting roles for the Hoosiers, Green and Davis combined to score the first 17 points of the game for Indiana. Green ignited the crowd with a personal 9-2 scoring run in the first half to put IU up 17-13 with 13:02 to play. Redshirt freshman forward Jerome Hunter drilled a wing 3-pointer to extend the Hoosier run to 12-2 over a span of 5:10 on the clock.
- With IU clinging to a 38-37 lead with 13:33 to play in the second half, the Hoosiers ran out to an 8-0 run to bump the lead up to nine with 10:04 remaining in the game. Redshirt sophomore forward Race Thompson capped the run with a hook shot from the post.
- Wisconsin closed the game on a 16-5 extended run in the final 6:52 and held Indiana to 1-of-14 (7.1 percent) from the floor down the stretch.
- The Hoosiers held a slim rebounding advantage in the game, grabbing 38 boards to 34 from Wisconsin. IU secured 12 offensive rebounds and converted those extra chances into 15 points.
- Indiana outscored the Badgers by a count of 14-2 off the bench.
- Green, the lone Hoosier to finish in double figures, recorded 16 points and four rebounds in 26 minutes of court time. With 942 career points, he is curretnly 56th all-time at Indiana.
- Thompson grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds to go along with seven points. He made 5-of-6 free throw attempts in 24 minutes of run.
- Junior guard Aljami Durham scored nine points on 3-of-5 shooting from the floor to go along with four rebounds and one assist in 33 minutes of action.
- Freshman forward Trayce Jackson-Davis tallied six points and grabbed eight rebounds in 27 minutes of action.
- Sophomore guard Rob Phinisee dished out a game-best seven assists without a turnover. He added four points in 21 minutes off the bench.
- Junior forward Justin Smith tallied seven points, one rebound and one assist in 27 minutes.
- Davis charted four points and three rebounds in 13 minutes in a starting role.
- Hunter made a 3-point field goal and grabbed one rebound in 13 minutes off the bench.
- Redshirt junior forward Joey Brunk grabbed three rounds in 11 minutes off the bench.
- Freshman guard Armaan Franklin saw limited action for the Hoosiers.
- The Hoosiers will await the final 2020 Big Ten Tournament bracket release at the conclusion of the regular season. The tournament begins on Wednesday, March 11 at Banker's Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
