Khayla Dawson is an Indiana Track & Field thrower from Charlotte, N.C. Dawson was the 2019 Outdoor Big Ten Champion in the shot put and took bronze at the 2020 Indoor Big Ten Championships before her season was cut short.

Informatics with a cognate in Security
How are you interacting with your teammates?
FaceTime, Texting, Group Zoom Calls
How has the adjustment gone to online classes?
The adjustment was seamless for me because I've taken many online courses throughout my time here at IU.
What gives you encouragement and motivation during this time?
Knowing that I have one more year to better myself athletically and academically.
What is something you and your family are doing to pass the time?
I'm not with my family at the moment but we've both have been doing work virtually and watching new releases on Netflix.
What shows are you catching up on?
Death Note, Elite, Women of the Night, BeastStars, Money Heist, Ozarks.
What are you most looking forward to when you get back?
Getting back to a consistent training regimen and having a strict schedule to follow.
What advice do you give to your fellow Hoosiers during this time?
Don't let the current circumstances stop you from being productive.
