Q&A: Drew Giacchetto

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - In our second Q&A, IUHoosiers.com catches up with freshman Drew Giacchetto. The Canton, Mass. native is coming off his first season with the Hoosiers as he competed in four events, highlighted by his play in the Big Ten Match Play Championships as he won both of his matchups on the first day.
Q: Where are you at right now?
A: I was in Naples, Florida for the last three weeks, but am currently on Cape Cod, MA
Q: How are you interacting with your teammates?
A: FaceTime, Snapchat, Text, Zoom Chat
Q: What advice would you give your fellow Hoosiers during this time?
A: Stay active and keep your distance from others. Grind through school, and we will get through this soon.
Q: What are you most looking forward to when you get back on the course?
A: I am looking forward to competing against my teammates and friends. Playing matches against each other.
Q: How has the adjustment gone to online classes?
A: It has been good. It is different not having a set schedule of times you physically go to classes.
Q: What gives you encouragement and motivation during this time?
A: Times like this can bring out the best in certain people. Seeing stories on the news of people helping one another. This country will come out stronger after this virus.
Q: What is something you and your family are doing to pass the time?
A: We have been able to play golf in Florida.

A: House of Cards
Q: What is your major and what are your future career plans?
A: Accounting, I plan on becoming a CPA.
