IUWG Celebrates Yearly Awards

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Women's Golf announced its yearly team awards on Wednesday with Carolina Garrett, Anni Eisenhut, Mary Parsons and Priscilla Schmid earning honors.
Garrett, a senior from Miami, Fla., earned the Hoosier Heart Award. This honor is voted on by the team and given to the Hoosier who exemplifies:
Eisenhut, a freshman from Grunwald, Germany, earned the Most Improved Hoosier Award. This award is given to the Hoosier who shows the greatest improvement in the following areas:
Parsons, a junior from Delta, British Columbia, was honored with the Coaches Award. This award is given to the Hoosier who exemplifies the following areas:
And finally, Schmid, a junior from Montevideo, Uruguay, was named the winner of the Hoosier of the Year Award. This is determined by Golfstat & Golfweek rankings. (The average ranking between both systems will utilized to determine the Hoosier of the Year. In the event of a tie, the following will be criteria will be used to break the tie:

- Perseverance through times of adversity
- Support of all teammates throughout various circumstances
- Exemplary effort in building the Indiana Women's Golf program
- Support of Indiana University Athletics
Eisenhut, a freshman from Grunwald, Germany, earned the Most Improved Hoosier Award. This award is given to the Hoosier who shows the greatest improvement in the following areas:
- Scoring Average
- Statistical Analysis (Fairways, Greens, etc)
- Short Game Handicap
- Coaches Discretion
Parsons, a junior from Delta, British Columbia, was honored with the Coaches Award. This award is given to the Hoosier who exemplifies the following areas:
- Leadership
- Work Ethic
- Passion
- Commitment
And finally, Schmid, a junior from Montevideo, Uruguay, was named the winner of the Hoosier of the Year Award. This is determined by Golfstat & Golfweek rankings. (The average ranking between both systems will utilized to determine the Hoosier of the Year. In the event of a tie, the following will be criteria will be used to break the tie:
- Tournament Performance (Winning %, Scoring average, Finishes);
- Countable Rounds
