Q&A: Lauren Etnyre

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—In our second Q&A session, IUHoosiers.com catches up with sophomore attacker Lauren Etnyre. In her second season with IU Water Polo, Etnyre appeared in all 18 games and finished her season performance with 11 goals, 10 assists and seven steals.
Q: Where are you at right now?
I am back home in Lafayette, California.
Q: How are you interacting with your teammates?
I've been having daily Zoom calls with them as well as Snapchatting and sending each other Tik Toks.
Q: What advice would you give your fellow Hoosiers during this time?
Enjoy time with your family. Stay home and use this time to focus on areas of your life you want to improve or normally don't have the time to work on.
Q: What are you most looking forward to when you get back on the field/court/course?
I'm looking forward to being back with my team and accomplishing the goals we have set.
Q: How has the adjustment gone to online classes?
It's been going well but I definitely find myself getting distracted a lot easier.
Q: What gives you encouragement and motivation during this time?
Knowing the best is yet to come and I get to return to IU as soon as this all clears up.
Q: What is something you and your family are doing to pass the time?
My house backs to a regional park so I've been going on a lot of hikes with my family and dogs.
Q: What shows are you watching?
I've been watching "The Office". I've never had the free time to watch the series through. 10/10 would recommend.
Q: What is your major and what are your future career plans?
I'm majoring in Business and hope to work in the field of marketing.
