Wittenbrink Honored as July Scholar-Athlete of the Month

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Redshirt sophomore forward Ryan Wittenbrink has been selected as the IU Scholar-Athlete of the Month for July.

"Ryan has worked very hard since arriving in Bloomington in the fall of 2018," said Allen Kohn, IU's assistant director of academic services. "He used his redshirt year to take as many undergraduate courses that he possibly could because he had the goal to be accepted into the Kelley School of Business 3/2 MBA program."

The former Top Drawer Soccer three-star recruit appeared in three contests for the Hoosiers as a redshirt freshman in 2019. IU has claimed the Big Ten Conference regular season and tournament championships in each of his two seasons with the program. Wittenbrink was named Academic All-Big Ten following the '19 season.
