Men’s Tennis Earns All-Academic Team Award, 9 Scholar-Athletes

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– The Indiana men's tennis team has earned recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association with the ITA All-Academic Team Award.
Additionally, the following earned the ITA Scholar-Athlete Award: Payam Ahmadi, Zac Brodney, Bennett Crane, Patrick Fletchall, Carson Haskins, William Piekarsky, Andrew Redding, Mac Rogers and Vikash Singh.
The nine ITA Scholar-Athletes is the most in a season for the men's tennis program.
To earn the team award, the IU men's tennis squad had to have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above. For scholar-athlete recognition the standard was 3.5 or above.
"I give our guys a lot of credit," IU head coach Jeremy Wurtzman said. "They continue to impress us by earning academic awards and are working so hard both on and off the court. We are very proud of all they are accomplishing off the court."
