#MLSisBack Update – MLS is Back Tournament Knockout Stage Round of 16

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – With 12 former Hoosiers securing spots on Major League Soccer rosters, Indiana is well represented in the restart of the league in Orlando, Fla. Throughout the remainder of the tournament, IUHoosiers.com will provide updates on these former Hoosier greats.
Will Bruin, Seattle Sounders FC
Bruin saw his first action of the Orlando bubble in Seattle's 4-1 knockout loss to LAFC. He entered as a substitute on the front line with 19 minutes to play. Bruin attempted two shots and scored the first Hoosier goal of the MLS is Back Tournament off a beautifully swung-in ball from Joevin Jones.

Griffin Dorsey, Toronto FC
Dorsey did not see action in Toronto's 3-1 loss to New York City FC in the Round of 16.

Andrew Gutman, Cincinnati FC
Gutman started his third-straight match in the restart and played the full 90 minutes along the defensive backline in Cincinnati's 1-1 draw with the Portland Timbers. Portland advanced to the quarterfinals by way of a 4-2 advantage in penalty kicks.

Aidan Morris, Columbus Crew SC
Morris did not see action in Columbus' 1-1 draw with Minnesota United FC. Minnesota advanced to the quarterfinals via a 5-3 advantage on penalty kicks.

Thompson started and played the first 81 minutes of a resounding 5-2 victory over Real Salt Lake in the Round of 16. San Jose dominated the game with 19 shots (eight on target), six corners, 461 total passes, and 60.2 percent of the possession.
