
Devonte Green Signs Professional Contract to Play in Greece

Former IU guard Devonte Green, who just finished his four-year career with the Hoosiers, has signed a professional contract to play for Trikoupis BC of the Greece A1 League. He finished 55th in career scoring at IU with 954 points and earned a degree this past May in Recreational Sports Management.
"With COVID circumstances and the uncertainty of the NBA/G-league season, going overseas is the best opportunity for me to stay active and showcase my talent," said Green, who played as a prep at Long Island (NY) Lutheran. "So when the NBA/G-league starts back up, I'll have the option to come back to play professionally in America. I'll keep chasing my dream until the wheels fall off."
A team captain this season, he played in 29 games and averaged 10.8 points and was 8th in th league averaging 2.0 3FG per game. He scored a career-high with 30 points in a win over Florida State and had 27 points and 7 3FG in a triumph over Iowa. He also led the team with 59 triples and shot 35.8% from behind the arc. He had 62 assists and 21 steals.
For his career, he also tied for 12th all-time for the Hoosiers with 164 3FG and 10th in career 3FG attempts with 435. He had 257 assists and 113 steals.
