Postgame Notes
January 10, 2021
• Junior Rob Phinisee scored 16 of his career-high 18 points in the first half, his highest point total in any half of his career. He matched his career high by making seven of his 15 shot attempts, including 3-of-6 from behind the 3-point line.
• Phinisee added five rebounds, four assists and one steal in 31 minutes in his second-straight start.
• Senior Aljami Durham charted 17 points, four rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes of action. He made good on 6-of-13 shoots from the floor.
• Durham has scored in double figures in four-straight games and is averaging 15.8 points per game during that run.
• Sophomore Trayce Jackson-Davis racked up his third-straight double-double, his fifth of the season and 17th of his career with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Jackson-Davis also swatted three Cornhusker shots.
• Indiana is 14-3 in games in which Jackson-Davis records a double-double over the last two seasons.
• He made 9-of-14 free throw attempts, his third game this season with at least nine made free throws. TJD has made at least five free throw attempts in 9-of-13 games this season.
• Redshirt junior Race Thompson scored 11 points (4-of-7 shooting) to go along with five rebounds and two assists. Thompson also added a steal in 25 minutes.
• Freshman Trey Galloway tallied eight points (4-of-8 shooting) and three rebounds in 22 minutes.
• Sophomore Jerome Hunter scored an Indiana-high nine points off the bench. He also corralled six rebounds. During the two-game road swing, Hunter averaged 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest.
• Freshman Anthony Leal grabbed a career-best four rebounds to go along with three points off the bench.
• Freshman Khristian Lander connected on his lone 3-point attempt in the first half and scored three total points to go along with one rebound in three minutes off the bench.
• Freshman Jordan Geronimo pulled down two rebounds in three minutes of action.
• Indiana turned the ball over only eight times during the game, a turnover rate of just 11.6%.
• The Hoosiers outrebounded the Huskers, 41-30, in the contest. IU grabbed 12 offensive rebounds, compared to Nebraska's five, and collected 16 second chance points.
• Indiana shot 18-of-34 (52.9%) from the floor in the first half of the contest and made 7-of-13 first half attempts from the 3-point line. The seven made triples mark the most IU has hit in a half since knocking down nine in the second half against North Alabama on Dec. 13.
