Morgan Geddes Q&A
What's your favorite way to spend a day off?
On a day off I enjoy spending time with my teammates. We drive around and listen to music, explore campus and get food or coffee at some of our favorite restaurants on campus. I also use this time to talk to family and friends from back home.
What surprised you the most about being a student-athlete at IU?
What surprised me the most about being a student-athlete is the abundance of resources and amazing people that help us be successful in all aspects of life.
If you weren't playing volleyball at IU what sport would you play?
If I weren't playing volleyball at IU I would want to run track. I used to run hurdles and long jump.
Who is one of your role models and why?
My biggest role model is my grandpa Ed Reeves. He is the most hardworking and dedicated person I know. He has experienced and accomplished so much but remains humble. He is strong and compassionate and puts everyone's needs before his own. My grandpa is a truly amazing human and I want to be just as hardworking and caring as him.

Do you have any pre-match rituals? If so, what are they?
My pre-match ritual consists of listening to some really loud music and having a dance party in the locker room.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a gold medal at?
If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport I would win a gold medal in eating. I can devour some food.
Outside of volleyball, what's something you're passionate about and why?
Something that I am passionate about outside of volleyball is working with animals. Back home I volunteer at Columbus Humane, an animal shelter in Hilliard, Ohio. I started volunteering there when I was twelve. When I'm there I walk the dogs and take care of the cats.
Why did you choose to attend IU?
I choose IU because of the amazing coaching staff and my teammates. I knew I would be surrounded by incredible people that would become a second family. Also, I fell in love with campus immediately.
