Indiana Wins Three Flights at Louisville Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Indiana Men's Tennis team picked up a handful of titles at the Louisville Invitational this weekend, giving the team plenty of momentum heading into the Big Ten Individuals at the beginning of November.
Senior Carson Haskins and junior Luka Vukovic were winners in one of the doubles draws. The duo won 6-1 in their first round matchup before winning the semifinal 6-3 to advance to the final. Their opponent pulled out of the final match due to injury, giving the pair IU's first event title of the fall season.
Sophomore Michael Andre put together a fantastic weekend in the (A) Draw of the singles brackets this weekend. The Las Vegas-native earned a 6-3, 7-5 victory on Sunday to take home the crown in Louisville.
Sophomore Ilya Tiraspolsky continued his hot start in the fall by claiming the singles title in Draw B, dropping just one set enroute to the title. After dispatching of his first three opponents in straight sets, Tiraspolsky gutted out a 6-0, 4-6, 6-1 victory to finish off IU's stellar weekend.
The team has the next two weekends off before heading to East Lansing, Mich. to compete in the Big Ten Individuals from Nov. 4-Nov.7.
