BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Basketball debuted its 2021-22 roster on Saturday at Hoosier Hysteria inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
Complete with player intros, the Hoosier crowd was welcomed by eighth year head coach Teri Moren who addressed the crowd. The duo of Parker Stewart and Grace Berger won the 3-pont competition and Rob Phinisee and Mackenzie Holmes won the skills challenge.
The Hoosiers return all five starters from last season's NCAA Elite Eight campaign as they finished 21-6 overall and 16-2 in Big Ten play. All-Americans junior forward Mackenzie Holmes and senior guard Grace Berger highlight IU's veteran group along with seventh-year senior guard Ali Patberg and senior forward Aleksa Gulbe, who all earned All-Big Ten honors a season ago.
Indiana is ranked amongst the top teams in the country, coming in at No. 7 in ESPNW's Way Too Early Top 25 and No. 8 in the NCAA.com preseason poll. The season will begin on Nov. 10 when IU travels to Butler followed by the home opener against Kentucky on Nov. 14.
