
Men’s Soccer Readies for Midweek Test

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana men's soccer (11-3-1, 5-2-0 B1G) begins its final week of the regular season Wednesday (Oct. 27) when it hosts a challenging non-conference opponent in VCU at 7 p.m. ET on Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.

SETTING THE SCENE
• Indiana men's soccer is in its best stretch of the season so far, winning eight of its last nine and recording six straight shutout victories.
• Wednesday's match is the final regular season contest at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
• IU will celebrate Senior Night on Wednesday, recognizing four student-athletes for their contributions to the program: Spencer Glass, Isaac Sarosy, Joe Schmidt and Nyk Sessock.
• The Hoosiers have won four straight contests at home and own a 7-1-1 record against non-conference opponents.
ABOUT THE RAMS
• VCU is led by 12th-year head coach Dave Giffard. He owns a 106-82-34 record during his time with the Rams.
• The Rams are 2-1-0 in their last three matches, with one of the wins coming against No. 22 UNC-Wilmington in overtime.
• Sophomore midfielder Celio Pompeu and midfielder Damian Gallegos lead the team in scoring with four goals apiece. Adding seven assists to his tally, Pompeu has recorded a team-high 15 points.
• Three Rams have seen time in goal this season, with John Ermini and Mario Sequeira each appearing in seven matches. VCU keepers have combined for five shutouts this season.
