Indiana Beaten by No. 6 Northwestern in Regular Season Finale

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Indiana Field Hockey team dropped a Sunday-afternoon contest to No. 6 Northwestern 6-0 to close out the regular season.
With the setback, IU moves to 10-9 (2-6) on the campaign while Northwestern goes to 14-4 (5-3).
KEY MOMENTS
• Northwestern's Maddie Zimmer opened the scoring after firing a back-handed shot into the far corner of the net.
• Freshman midfielder Kira Curland had the first look on net in the second period but her attempt from the edge of the circle was blocked away.
• The Wildcats added three more goals in the second period to take a 4-0 lead into the break.
• Freshman midfielder Maggie Carter played a ball across the frame of net in the third period, but no one was there to meet the ball.
• Curland got another great look at net but Northwestern's goalie made a fantastic diving save to keep IU off the board.
• Redshirt sophomore defender Sydney Keld had a chance on a penalty corner in the fourth period, but her shot was blocked.
• Northwestern grabbed two more in the second half to close out the match.

• Freshman goalie Arabella Loveridge made 4 saves on the afternoon after facing 19 shots.
• Kesler made her 50th consecutive start on Sunday.
