Andrew Irick Named Male Scholar-Athlete of the Month for October

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Sophomore wrestler Andrew Irick was named IU's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Month for October.

Irick has gotten off to a tremendous start in the classroom this year including in his Organic Chemistry class. After graduation, Irick plans on attending medical school to become a doctor.

The Fishers-native competed in three-dual meets in extra matches last season in the 285-lb weight-class. Irick will have his photo up in the D. Ames Shuel Academic Center during the month of October honoring his academic achievements.
