Wampler Header Leads Hoosiers to 1-0 Victory over Wildcats

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Indiana women's soccer team earned a 1-0 victory at Northwestern on Friday at Martin Stadium.
KEY MOMENTS
• In the 43rd minute of the game the Hoosiers got a free kick off a Northwestern foul. Anna Aehling sent it to Oliwia Wos, who launched a ball from a step inside the midfield line to just outside the six-yard box. Megan Wampler jumped above the goalkeeper and played a header into the back of the net for the goal.
• In the 88th minute Northwestern took a strong shot to the left corner of the goal. Goalkeeper Jamie Gerstenberg made a diving save to her right to preserve the lead and victory for the Hoosiers.
NOTABLES
• The Hoosiers improve to 9-2-3 on the season and 3-1-2 in the Big Ten.
• Megan Wampler scored her first goal of the season.
• The Hoosiers now have a 23-5 advantage in goals against opponents this season.
