Nov. 12, 2021
• Indiana (2-0, 0-0) defeated Northern Illinois (1-1, 0-0) 85-49 on Friday, November 12th at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
• Junior/sophomore Trayce Jackson-Davis poured in a team-high 19 points to go along with seven rebounds. 17 of those points came in the first half.
• Jackson-Davis tallied seven blocks, setting a new career mark in the process.
• He has now scored in double figures in 27 of his last 28 games.
• Senior/junior Xavier Johnson scored 13 points, all coming in the first half. He grabbed two rebounds and added two steals and three assists.
• Redshirt senior/junior Race Thompson added 12 points and 10 rebounds for IU.
• This was the fourth double-double of Thompson's career and the first of this season. It was also the seventh time he's grabbed double-digit boards in his career.
• Senior/junior Rob Phinisee scored five points and added a rebound and assist as the first player off the bench in reserve.
• Freshman Tamar Bates hit a three-point basket and grabbed three boards in 20 minutes of work off the bench.
• Sophomore/freshman Jordan Geronimo had six points, two rebounds and two assists.
• Senior/junior Miller Kopp grabbed two rebounds and totaled four points in 19 minutes of run.
• Sophomore/freshman Trey Galloway played 23 minutes off the bench, scoring seven points and tallying two rebounds and three assists.
• Senior/junior Michael Durr grabbed his first bucket for IU.
• Sophomore/freshman Khristian Lander made his season debut and scored seven points.

• Jackson-Davis scored the opening bucket of the game on a left-handed floater from just inside the lane.
• Durr checked in at the 10:23 mark in the first half, becoming the fifth Hoosier to make their team debut this week.
• IU went on a 12-0 run over a period of 4:25 in the latter stages of the first half (8:40-4:15).
• Johnson cracked into double-digit scoring in the first 16:35 of the ballgame. Jackson-Davis joined him in double digits right before the break.
• IU held Northern Illinois to just 5 of 21 shooting in the first half (23.8%). IU also forced the Huskies into 10 turnovers in the first interval.
• The 27-point halftime lead (47-20) was the most IU has led by at the break since leading by 29 (48-19) on November 25, 2020.
• Tonight's game marks back-to-back games where IU allowed fewer than 20 points in the opening half.
• The 47 points IU scored in the first half was the most its scored in any half since putting up 47 in the second half against Minnesota on February 17, 2021.
• Northern Illinois didn't score a basket in a stretch from the 4:15 mark in the first half to the 12:25 mark in the second half (11:50).
• The Huskies shot just 30.4% from the floor and only 18.2% from behind the line.
• IU outrebounded Northern Illinois 37-31 and forced the Huskies into 23 turnovers.
• The Hoosiers tallied 37 points off the bench.

• This was IU's biggest margin of victory (36) since beating Troy 100-62 (38) on November 16, 2019.
