Jackson-Davis Named Big Ten Player of the Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Indiana All-American forward Trayce Jackson-Davis has been named Big Ten Men's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 20 points, 10.5 rebounds and five blocked shots in leading the Hoosiers to wins over Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois to start the season. The Greenwood, Ind., native and Center Grove High School graduate shot 65.2% from the floor making 15-of 23-field goal attempts.
It is the third time in his career that he has earned the distinction from the league.
He had 21 points, 14 rebounds and three blocked shots against EMU and posted his 23rd career double-double. IU improved to 18-5 in those games. Against NIU, he scored 19 points, 17 in the first half, and notched seven rebounds and a career-high seven blocked shots, tied for the fourth best effort in school history at Indiana.
He is 11 points away from becoming the 54th player in school-history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark at Indiana.
The Hoosiers will host St. John's on Wednesday night at 9 p.m. in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall as part of the Gavitt Games, which is a matchup between the Big Ten and Big East conferences. IU will also host Louisiana at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, November 21.
