Indiana vs. Notre Dame

• Indiana (9-2) beat Notre Dame (4-5), 64-56, on Saturday afternoon at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
• The contest marked the final game of the Crossroads Classic, ending the event that ran for 11-straight seasons. The Hoosiers finished with a tournament best record of 8-3. Butler went 6-5, while Notre Dame ended up 4-7 and Purdue finished 4-7.
• IU improved to 52-22 all-time against Notre Dame and 5-1 against the Irish in the Crossroads Classic.
• Indiana won for the first time outside of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in the 2021-22 season.
• The Hoosiers went on a 15-3 scoring run in the final 7:17 of the first half to take a 30-27 lead into the locker room. Notre Dame turned the ball over six times over that time span. IU also started the second half on a 7-2 for an extended run of 22-5 splitting the two halves.
• Indiana held Notre Dame to 36.2% from the field and 18.2% from long distance. IU leads the Big Ten and is second nationally in defensive field goal percentage (35.0%). Indiana's defense forced three shot clock violations in the first half.
• IU outrebounded Notre Dame, 35-32.
• The Hoosiers will return to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall for the final two contests of the 2021 calendar season and the last two non-conference games of the '21-22 regular season. IU will host Northern Kentucky at 7 p.m. ET on Dec. 22 and UNC Asheville at 7 p.m. on Dec. 29.
• Junior/sophomore Trayce Jackson-Davis tallied his 26th career double-double with game highs in both points (17) and rebounds (12). He moved past Cody Zeller on the all-time scoring list at IU and is now 40th all-time for the Hoosiers with 1,159 points.
• The Hoosiers are 20-6 in the 26 games in which TJD recorded a double-double during his three-year career.
• The All-American also totaled two blocks on the defensive end and has charted multiple blocks in 10 of 11 games this season. He leads the Big Ten with 3.38 blocks per contest.
• Graduate/redshirt junior Parker Stewart had 12 points, three rebounds and two blocks. He made 3-of-4 from long distance and leads the league making 49.1% from long distance this season.
• Redshirt senior/redshirt junior Race Thompson finished with 11 points, three boards, three assists and a pair of steals. He made all four of his field goal attempts. He is a perfect 10-for-10 from the floor in his last two games.
• Senior/junior Xavier Johnson had 11 points and added three assists.
• Senior/junior Rob Phinisee hit a pair of critical 3-pointers and finished with six points, a team-high five assists, and five rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench.
• Sophomore/freshman Anthony Leal contributed three assists and a steal.
• Sophomore/freshman Jordan Geronimo tallied two points and four rebounds.
• Senior/junior Miller Kopp finished with five points, two rebounds and a steal.
• Senior/junior Michael Durr pulled down one rebound in two minutes of run.
