No. 8 Indiana Blows Past SIU, 70-37

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 8 Indiana limited Southern Illinois to just 27.3 percent shooting on the afternoon as it rounded out non-conference play with a 70-37 win at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Thursday afternoon.

KEY MOMENTS
- Opened up win number 10 on the season with an 8-0 advantage at the media timeout as Cardaño-Hillary led the way for IU with five first quarter points.
- Indiana (10-2) took a 15-4 lead after one, continuing its run into the second quarter. Along with staunch defense, the Hoosiers took advantage and ran up the margin at the break, 38-8. It would go on to shoot 71.4 percent from the field in the second, while the Salukis went just 13 percent.
- Senior guard Grace Berger (12 points) and junior forward Mackenzie Holmes (10 points) led the way at halftime.
