Indiana Quartet Tabbed All-Region

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Four Indiana men's soccer student-athletes were named United Soccer Coaches All-North Region selections on Tuesday (Dec.7).
Indiana is the only north region team to boast three first team selections, as junior forward Victor Bezerra, junior goalkeeper Roman Celentano and junior defender Daniel Munie all received top marks. Senior defender Spencer Glass was named to the second team.
The trio of Bezerra, Celentano and Glass were named all-region for the second straight season with Glass returning to the list for the third straight cycle.
Bezerra finished his final season in cream and crimson with team highs in goals (8) and points (21). The Chicago, Illinois, native tallied five game-winning goals during the campaign and scored in each of IU's NCAA Tournament matches. Bezerra collected 28 goals over his three-year career.
Celentano, Munie and Glass anchored one of the top defenses in the nation this fall, collecting 13 clean sheets as a team including a seven-match shutout streak in October, the second-longest single-season streak in program history.
Celentano became the first-ever repeat Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year, winning the award in back-to-back seasons. His career-high 11 shutouts rank No. 3 in the country and No. 1 in the Big Ten and pushed him into a tie for ninth-most career shutouts in program history with 28.
Munie earned the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year award for his work on the Hoosier backline as well as three Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week selections. Munie also made significant contributions to the scoresheet, collecting three goals and three assists this season.
In his farewell season, Glass tallied three assists and two goals, with both of his scores coming in the NCAA Tournament. Glass was also an All-Big Ten Second Team and Big Ten All-Tournament Team selection and is a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award.
