Volleyball Comes up Short Against No. 1 Badgers
2/13/2021 6:35:00 PM | Women's Volleyball
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.- Despite a strong performance on their home court, Indiana volleyball fell to the No. 1 Wisconsin Badgers 3-0 (23-25, 11-25, 24-26) for the second straight night at Wilkinson Hall.
KEY MOMENTS
NOTES
IU Head Coach Steve Aird
"I thought Wisconsin was awfully good. Clearly an exceptional team. I thought that we played well in games one and three. Proud of the kids for hanging in there. I think game two was a testament to their serving. We struggled to serve and receive and they kind of strangled us and didn't let us do anything offensively.
As it goes, we've got to keep getting better. I'm disappointed we didn't pick off games one and three. You win those and you're up 2-1 and it's a whole different match, a whole different feeling. At some point we've got to grow up and find an ability to win those games.
Great players make great plays and I thought [Dana] Rettke had a great day. I thought we did a great jpb on some other players. Credit to [Devyn] Robinson. She's a fantastic player who had a great weekend. Congrats to her and good luck to them as they go forward."
