Indiana Field Hockey Announces 2020-2021 Spring Schedule

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Big Ten Conference announced the 2020-2021 spring field hockey schedule on Tuesday afternoon. Indiana Field Hockey will play all of their games away from home including a trip to Virginia Beach, Va. Game times will be announced at a later date.
To open the long-awaited season, the Hoosiers will play Rutgers and Iowa at a neutral site in Virginia Beach, Va. They will play the Scarlet Knights on Friday Feb. 26 followed by a match up with the Big Ten defending champion Hawkeyes on Saturday Feb. 27.
Indiana will then return to the Midwest for a road swing in Michigan. Michigan is up first in on Friday Mar. 5 prior to Michigan state on Sunday Mar. 7.
Week three commences at Northwestern where the Hoosiers will play the Wildcats twice, once on Friday Mar. 12 and again on Sunday Mar. 14.
The Hoosiers will head to the east coast for week four as Indiana will face Maryland on Friday Mar. 19 and Sunday Mar. 21.
Coming out of a week five bye, Indiana will stay closer to home as they play Ohio State twice in Columbus, Ohio. The first match is set for Friday Apr. 2 while the second game will be played on Sunday Apr. 4.
Week seven will take the Hoosiers to Penn State for two games. Indiana and the Nittany Lions will play on Friday Apr. 9 and Sunday Apr. 11.
The regular season finale for the Hoosiers will be another road trip up north. They will face Michigan State on Thursday Apr.15 prior to ending the regular season at Michigan on Saturday Apr. 17.
Iowa will play host to the Big Ten Tournament this season on Apr. 20-24. All nine Big Ten programs will travel to Iowa City, Iowa to play in the conference tournament.
