February 20, 2021
• Sophomore Trayce Jackson-Davis recorded a career-high 34 points and nine rebounds. He knocked down 11-of-18 shot attempts from the floor and connected on 12-of-16 attempts from the free throw line. He established or matched career-highs in field goals attempted, field goals made, free throws attempted and free throws made. TJD has tallied at least 20 points in a game on 13 occasions this season (19 career).
• The game marked the second 30-point performance from Jackson-Davis after he poured in 31 points against Stanford in the final game of the 2020 Maui Invitational. His 34-point performance is the most points scored by a Hoosier since Juwan Morgan netted 35 points against Butler on Dec. 15, 2018.
• Redshirt junior Race Thompson tallied 15 points (7-of-11 shooting from the floor) and grabbed six rebounds.
• The Plymouth, Minn., native was a defensive menace with a career-high seven steals and a monster block. He is one of seven players in program history to have seven or more steals in a game. He joins: Scott May (9), Michael Lewis (8), Steve Alford (8), OG Anunoby (7), William Gladness (7), and Jim Crews (7).
• Sophomore Armaan Franklin gave the Hoosiers a third double-figure scorer with 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field. He added five rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes.
• Redshirt sophomore Jerome Hunter tallied five points, one rebound and one assists in 17 minutes off the bench.
• Senior Aljami Durham scored four points, grabbed four rebounds and handed out three assists in 36 minutes.
• Junior Rob Phinisee added four assists and a steal in 30 minutes.
• Freshman Trey Galloway and freshman Khristian Lander each had one rebound and one assist in nine minutes.
• The loss snaps a three-game winning streak for the Hoosiers over the Spartans over the past two seasons.
• Indiana forced Michigan State into 14 turnovers, including 10 in the first half. The Hoosiers turned the extra possessions into 17 points.
• Michigan State topped Indiana on the glass (36-29), second chance points (14-9), bench points (34-5), and fastbreak points (11-7).
• Indiana secured 10 steals for the first time since Dec. 13, 2020 when the Hoosiers also had 10 against North Alabama.
