Indiana Volleyball Falls Short Against No. 11 Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Indiana volleyball was defeated against No. 11 Purdue, 3-0 (18-25, 11-25, 16-25) on Sunday.
KEY MOMENTS
• Purdue led early in the first set, 11-6, but the Hoosiers narrow the gap to two at 16-14 on a kill from Brooke Westbeld.
• Purdue scored three straight to go up 19-14 and won the first set, 25-18.
• At 7-7 in the second set, Purdue used a 9-0 run to go up 16-7.
• At 17-9 in the third set, Brooke Westbeld dove into the Indiana bench and came up with a touch to keep the play alive.
• Purdue used a 5-0 run to go up 6-1 in the third set.
• Indiana came back to score the next two points of the third set with a kill by Tommi Stockham.
• Purdue scored three straight to go up 16-7 and won the third set, 25-16.
NOTES
• The Hoosiers fall to a record of 2-10 while No. 11 Purdue improved to 8-4.
• Tommi Stockham notched 10 kills to lead the Hoosiers. It is her seventh match this season with double digit kills.
• Ashley Zulauf registered a career-high 11 digs.
• Brooke Westbeld tallied a season-high seven kills. Westbeld added 12 assists in the match.
• Sophomore libero Haley Armstrong recorded 11 digs for her seventh match of the season with double digit digs.
