Hoosiers Hills Invitational Up Next for IUTF

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –Indiana Track & Field returns to Gladstein Fieldhouse on Saturday Feb. 6 for the Hoosier Hills Invitational. The women will kick off the meet at 11 a.m. with the 60m hurdles followed by the men's portion at 3 p.m.
Indiana Schedule of Events
Women's track schedule of events – 60m hurdle prelims, 60m prelims, 60m hurdle finals, 60m finals, 800m, 600m, 200m, and 4x400m relay.
Women field schedule of events – weight throw, shot put, long jump, triple jump, and pole vault.
Men's track schedule of events – 60m hurdle prelims, 60m prelims, 60m hurdle finals, 60m finals, 400m, 800m, 600m, 3000m, and 4x400m relay.
Men's field schedule of events – weight throw, shot put, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, and high jump.
Last Time Out: Gladstein Invite
The Hoosiers returned to the Gladstein Fieldhouse this past weekend for the Gladstein Invite. On home turf, Indiana has 14 win their respective events on Saturday afternoon. Mahogany Jenkins and JaiQuan Earls earned their first victories in the cream & crimson. Jenkins soared a distance of 12.03m (39' 5.75") in the triple jump while Earls jumped a mark of 13.85m (45' 5.25") to complete the Indiana sweep in the event.
Ranked
Week two ranking were released by the USTFCCCA and the Indiana men were ranked No. 24 while the women remain unranked.
In the regional rankings, both squads checked in at No. 3 in the Great Lakes Region.
NCAA Marks
Through two weekends of competition, 10 Hoosiers have top-25 marks in the NCAA.

Finding Success at B1G Championships
This past weekend a group of Hoosiers competed at Big Ten Cross Country Championships in Shelbyville, Ind. Bailey Hertenstein led Indiana on the women's side by garnering at silver medal for the second straight year. Herstenstein clocked a time of 20:15.2. Sarah Schmitt picked up All-Big Ten Second Team honors after she finished in 10th with a time of 20:46.5. As a team, the women finished in fourth with 101 points. Michigan State took the team title for the second straight year with 48 points.
On the men's side, Indiana saw runners finish eighth through 10th. Ben Veatch led the way in eighth with a time of 24:18.12 while Matthew Schadler placed ninth and clocked a time of 24:19.1. Jake Gebhardt saw a time of 24:20.5 to cross the finish line 10th. Arjun Jha snagged 11th and time of 24:21.6. Rounding out the five Hoosiers in the top-15 was Skylar Stidam who placed 13th with a time of 24:22.9. The Indiana men would finish second for the second straight year with 51 points. Wisconsin took the team championships with 40 points.
All-Big Ten Honorees
Seven Hoosiers earned all-Big Ten Honors at the Cross Country Championships this past weekend. Bailey Hertenstein earned first team honors while Sarah Schmitt landed on the second team. Ben Veatch, Matthew Schadler, Jake Gebhardt, Arjun Jha, and Skylar Stidam all picked up second team accolades for their effort in the men's 8k.
