Hoosiers Fall on the Road at Iowa, 3-1

CORALVILLE, Iowa - The Indiana volleyball team won the first set, but could not continue the momentum as they fell in four sets (25-20, 15-25, 24-26, 17-25) at Iowa on Friday.

• The Hoosiers used a 3-0 run to take a two-point lead at 12-10 in the first set.
• A block by Breana Edwards and Leyla Blackwell put IU up 19-15 and forced an Iowa timeout.
• Brooke Westbeld and Savannah Kjolhede combined for a block on set point to give Indiana a 25-20 set one victory.
• With Iowa leading 18-9 in the second set, Indiana used a 4-0 scoring run to narrow the gap to five points.

"I thought we controlled things in game one. In game two we struggled a bit with our first touch. I thought in game three we had a window but they won a close one. At times we look pretty good and at times things fall apart. I think it's a matter of skill development and improving our consistency."
