
Three Podium On Friday At NCAA Indoor Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Three Hoosiers saw the podium at NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday afternoon as Indiana Track & Field wrapped day one of the meet.
Maddy Pollard kicked it off in the shot put with a heave of 16.99m (55' 9") to place seventh overall. She has now hit the podium in her last three championship appearances.
Ben Veatch broke the indoor school record in the 5000m with a time of 13:33.50. Veatch placed eighth in the event and made the podium. The previous school record was 13:37.03 which was set by Andrew Poore in 2011.
The men's DMR comprised of Teddy Browning, Shaton Vaughn, Cooper Williams, and Arjun Jha secured seventh with a time of 9:34.30. Their time was a season best for the Hoosiers.
Rikkoi Brathwaite didn't miss a beat after laying down the second fastest time in the semifinal in the 60m with a time of 6.55. He will race the final on Saturday at 3:10 p.m. ET.
Along with Brathwaite on Saturday, Nathan Stone will compete in the pole vault beginning 1:30 p.m. E. Live results of the meet can be found here and will air live on ESPN3.
