
Indiana Women’s Soccer Concedes Contest to Ohio State, 2-0

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's soccer conceded a 2-0 contest to the Ohio State Buckeyes at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus on Thursday afternoon.
KEY MOMENTS
• Ohio State struck first in the 10th minute as Ohio State's Peyton McNamara stole the ball and launched it past the hands of goalkeeper Bethany Kopel into the back of the net for the gamewinner.
• Junior Oliwia Wos gave the Hoosiers their best chance off a free kick in the 31st minute when the ball curved straight to the goal where the Buckeyes goalkeeper Bailey Kolinski was there for the save.
• In the second half, the Buckeyes found the net in the 79th minute for their final goal after another Indiana turnover. The ball went through the fingers of Kopel into the left far-post.
• Senior Melanie Forbes gave the Hoosiers one last shot to get on the board in the 87th minute after a breakaway. Forbes dribbled through the defense into the middle of the field and launched the ball five yards out from the penalty box but couldn't capitalize off the momentum as Kolinski stepped in for the save.
