Parsons Finishes T14 at Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, S.C. – The Hoosiers wrapped up play in the Clemson Invitational on Sunday morning as senior Mary Parsons fired a 2-under in the final round to finish tied for 14th place.

• After inclement weather paused play on Saturday, the field returned to the Reserve at Lake Keowee on Sunday morning. The teams had between three and five holes remaining, with Indiana needing to finish No. 2-4.
• Parsons improved in every round before carding a 70 in the final round of play. She had four birdies in the round and was strongest on the back nine, where she was 2-under. Her score of 70 was the best for a Hoosier this season.
• Parsons was 3-over on the weekend and earns her first top-15 finish in a three-round event since the 2019 Briar's Creek Invitational, where she was also T14.
• Sophomore Hanna Tanaka finished tied for 77th and shot a 79 in the final round with a birdie on No. 15.
• Senior Angela Aung tied for 84th and tied her first-round score of 77. She was the best on the back nine, where she parred every hole but two.
• Sophomore Valerie Clancy carded two birdies in the final round and was also strongest on the back nine, where she was 3-over. She tied for 87th.
• Junior Maddie Dittoe shot a 90 in the final round and finished in 92nd place.
• As a team, the Hoosiers finished 18th.
• The field included 11 teams ranked in the top-50 by Golfstat, including four in the top-25. The Big Ten is well represented this weekend with seven from the conference competing.
