Noah Gochberg Signs with Indiana Wrestling

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Austin, Texas native and state champion Noah Gochberg has signed with Indiana wrestling.
Gochberg was a state champion as a freshman, finished second as a sophomore and third as a junior. This fall he won the Grappler Fall Classic.
Gochberg is currently ranked No. 1 in the state of Texas as a senior.
"We are excited to welcome Noah to the Indiana Wrestling family," IU head coach Angel Escobedo said. "Noah has a ton of upside, his skills were on display at a preseason tournament (grappler fall classic) where he won the tournament. Noah beat three top-20 ranked opponents and all three signed to other division one schools. Noah is passionate about wrestling, a great student, and is dedicated to helping the team continue to elevate this program."
Gochberg currently competes at 132 and projects as a college 125. Gochberg competes for Vandegrift High School out of Austin, Texas.
Gochberg finished his high school career with an overall record of 157-11. He helped his team to a seventh-place finish in 2019.
"It's been a dream of mine to wrestle in the Big Ten since I was a kid," Gochberg said. "After speaking with Coach Escobedo and following up with a few teammates, I knew IU was where I wanted to be."
Gochberg intends to study at the Kelley School of Business at IU.
