Ten Hoosiers And Both Teams Honored By USTFCCCA For Academics

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) have announced their All-Academic squad for the cross country season.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have either qualified for the national championship meet or finished top-5 at their respective conference championship.
Five Hoosiers on the men's side, and five on the women's team were tabbed with this honor. The men had the most selections among Big Ten teams while the women's squad tied for third most in the conference.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
As a team, both squads earned the team award by the USTFCCCA. The Big Ten proved to be a well-rounded academic conference as 10 of the 13 teams had both the men's and women's teams honored.
