Hoosiers to Play for Sixth B1G Trophy in Last Three Seasons
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 3-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (9-1-0) will host the No. 14-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions (8-1-1) in the 2020-21 Big Ten Tournament Championship at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium on Saturday, April 17.

2020-21 BIG TEN CHAMPIONS
• For the third-straight season, Indiana claimed the Big Ten regular season title, the longest streak in the conference since IU captured nine-straight league crowns from 1996-2004.
• The Hoosiers have won a conference-leading 17 regular season Big Ten championships.
• Indiana has won the last five trophies handed out by the Big Ten (3 regular season, 2 tournament), meaning 25-of-30 (83.3%) of the roster has never lost a B1G trophy during their collegiate career.
INDIANA DOMINATES B1G POSTSEASON AWARDS
• The Indiana men's soccer team cleaned up the 2020-21 Big Ten Conference postseason awards.
• Sophomore forward Victor Bezerra, sophomore goalie Roman Celentano, and redshirt senior defender Spencer Glass earned All-Big Ten First Team plaudits, while sophomore midfielder Herbert Endeley and redshirt sophomore defender Daniel Munie were named to the 2020-21 All-Big Ten Second Team. Freshman defender Joey Maher was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team.
• Bezerra also earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year honors. He is the third Hoosier to garner the award as he joins Will Bruin (2010) and Eriq Zavaleta (2012). Celentano became the second IU keeper to be named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year (Trey Muse, 2018).
• Todd Yeagley was named Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year for the fourth time (2010, '18, '19). Yeagley joins his father, Jerry Yeagley, as the only coaches in Big Ten history to earn the accolade in three-consecutive seasons. Jerry achieved the feat from 2001-03.

• Bezerra has tallied 18 goals in his two seasons at Indiana, the most for a second-year player since Zavaleta (28) from 2011-12.
• The Hoosiers have recorded wins in seven-straight matches, the longest active streak in the Big Ten and the program's longest winning streak since the 2018 (Oct. 7-Nov. 4) campaign.
• Yeagley earned his 150th-career win on March 23.
• In the last 44 Big Ten regular season matches Indiana holds a record of 33-2-9. IU is 10-0-5 in the Big Ten Tournament since 2015.
• Redshirt senior defender Spencer Glass suffered a season-ending injury (tibia) against No. 11 Michigan.

• The Hoosiers scored a date in the championship tilt after taking down the fourth-seeded Maryland Terrapins in a 2-0 result in the semifinal round on Wednesday night.
• Bezerra secured his second-straight Big Ten Tournament brace with a pair of second half goals to lead the Indiana attack. The scoring effort marked his fourth brace of the season. His four goals in the 2020-21 Big Ten Tournament are the most by a Hoosier in a single conference tournament run.
• Celentano collected three saves in his seventh solo shutout of the season. The IU goaltenders have combined for eight total (5-straight) shutouts this season. The five-straight cleansheets is tied for the longest streak by an Indiana defense since recording nine-consecutive shutouts from Sept. 17-Oct. 18, 2017.

• The Penn State Nittany Lions, under the direction of head coach Jeff Cook, are on a seven-match unbeaten streak (6-0-1) since coming off a two-match pause due to COVID-19 issues early in March. PSU entered the Big Ten Tournament as the second seed and currently hold a record of 8-1-1.
• Junior forward Daniel Bloyou, an All-Big Ten First Team honoree, leads the Nittany Lions with seven goals this season. Freshman midfielder Peter Mangione, a unanimous All-Big Ten Freshman Team pick, has tallied five goals (4 GW) and three assists this season.
• Sophomore keeper Kris Shakes, an All-Big Ten Second Team selection, has not lost a decision in his eight starts (7-0-1) this season. He has yielded seven goals (0.98 GAA) to go along with 27 saves (0.767 save percentage). Shakes has recorded three shutouts this year.

• Indiana leads the all-time series with Penn State by a tally of 34-14-4, including a mark of 18-4-1 in Bloomington. IU has outright won the last five meetings between the two programs.
