Indiana Falls on the Road at Ohio State, 3-2

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Indiana University baseball team fell in the series opener at Ohio State on Friday afternoon, 3-2, at Bill Davis Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
With the setback, the Hoosiers fall to 11-4 on the season overall and in Big Ten play, while the Buckeyes improve to 9-7 on the year and in league action.
KEY MOMENTS
• Trailing 2-0 after three innings, the Hoosier cut the lead in half with an RBI double down the left-field line off the bat of INF Jordan Fucci.
• In the top of sixth, INF Cole Barr blasted his first home run of the season deep over the fence in center field, cutting the OSU lead to 3-2.
• LHP Tommy Sommer (3-1) took his first loss of the season. He pitched five innings for the Hoosiers, allowing three runs on five hits, while striking out five.
• RHP John Modugno tossed shutout innings of relief, surrendering just one hit with one strikeout.
• LHP Braden Scott pitched a scoreless ninth inning with one strikeout.
