Bezerra Named TDS Player of the Week

Earns Sport on TDS, CSN Teams of the Week
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana men's soccer sophomore forward Victor Bezerra was named Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week, the publication announced on Tuesday morning. He was also tabbed to the Team of the Week for both TDS and College Soccer News.
The Chicago native has been a scoring machine for the Indiana attack, scoring 11 goals in 11 games this season. He has registered at least a point in 10-of-11 matches played and in all 10 matches he has started.
Bezerra scored an IU-record five goals during the three-game run of the Big Ten Tournament, including two each against Northwestern (quarterfinals) and Maryland (semifinals). He scored the lone Hoosier goal in the 1-1 draw against No. 14 Penn State in the title match. The Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year also converted his PK attempt to help Indiana secure its third-straight championship double.
The No. 3-ranked Hoosiers will await the winner Milwaukee and St. Francis Brooklyn in the 2020-21 NCAA Tournament Second Round. The match will be played on May 2 in Wilmington, N.C.
