Women's Golf Celebrates Yearly Team Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana women's golf announced it's yearly team accolades on Wednesday with Angela Aung, Maddie Dittoe, Hanna Tanaka and Mary Parsons earning honors.
Dittoe, a junior from Indianapolis, earned the Hoosier Heart Award. This honor is voted on by the team and given to the Hoosier who exemplifies:
Tanaka, a sophomore from Glenview, Ill., earned the Most Improved Hoosier Award. This award is given to the Hoosier who shows the greatest improvement in the following areas:
Aung, a senior from Yangon, Myanmar, was honored with the Coaches Award. This award is given to the Hoosier who exemplifies the following areas:
And finally, Parsons, a senior from Delta, British Columbia, was named the winner of the Hoosier of the Year Award. This is determined by Golfstat & Golfweek rankings.
Dittoe, a junior from Indianapolis, earned the Hoosier Heart Award. This honor is voted on by the team and given to the Hoosier who exemplifies:
- Perseverance through times of adversity
- Support of all teammates throughout various circumstances
- Exemplary effort in building the Indiana Women's Golf program
- Support of Indiana University Athletics
Tanaka, a sophomore from Glenview, Ill., earned the Most Improved Hoosier Award. This award is given to the Hoosier who shows the greatest improvement in the following areas:
- Scoring Average
- Statistical Analysis (Fairways, Greens, etc)
- Short Game Handicap
- Coaches Discretion
Aung, a senior from Yangon, Myanmar, was honored with the Coaches Award. This award is given to the Hoosier who exemplifies the following areas:
- Leadership
- Work Ethic
- Passion
- Commitment
And finally, Parsons, a senior from Delta, British Columbia, was named the winner of the Hoosier of the Year Award. This is determined by Golfstat & Golfweek rankings.
