Hoosiers Blank Wisconsin, Advance in Big Ten Tournament

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Indiana men's tennis team didn't waste a lot of time as they secured a 4-0 win over Wisconsin on Thursday in their first match at the Big Ten Tournament.
The Hoosiers (7-9) got out to a quick start as Ilya Tiraspolsky and William Piekarsky won 6-3 at No. 3 doubles. Andrew Redding and Patrick Fletchall added a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles to clinch the point for the Hoosiers.
Bennett Crane gave the Hoosiers their first singles point with a 6-1, 6-4 win at the No. 1 position. Tiraspolsky put Indiana up 3-0 in the match with a 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles.
Andrew Redding clinched the match for the Hoosiers with a 6-4, 7-6 win at No. 2 singles.
Up next Indiana will battle Illinois, the No. 1 seed in the west division, on Friday at 3:00 p.m. ET.
