
Indiana’s Doherty, White Earn All-MPSF Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University water polo's Tina Doherty and Kallie White earned All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) honors on Thursday, the league office announced. Doherty earned All-MPSF Second-Team honors, while White was named to the MPSF All-Newcomer Team.
The All-MPSF Second-Team honors are the second for Doherty in her career, who also earned the accolade last season, as well as Third-Team ACWPC All-America honors. This season, Doherty has started every game for the Hoosiers, totaling 47 goals, 13 assists 33 steals and six field blocks. The Foothill Ranch, Calif. native ranks second in the MPSF in goals, third in points (60), third in sprint wins (35) and tied for fourth in steals.
White has made an immediate impact for the Hoosiers in her first season in Bloomington, starting every game. The Carlsbad, Calif. product has scored 17 goals on the year to go with 20 assists, 19 steals and four field blocks. White ranks in a tie for seventh in the MPSF in assists.
The No. 14-ranked Indiana University water polo team will open up play at the MPSF Tournament on Friday, April 30 against No. 2 Stanford in Tempe, Ariz. at 2:30 p.m. ET.
