
Indiana Falls at Ohio State, 5-2

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Indiana University baseball team fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes, 5-2, in the second game of a doubleheader at Bill Davis Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
With the loss, the Hoosiers fall to 11-6 on the season overall and in Big Ten play, while the Buckeyes improve to 11-7 on the year and in league action.
KEY MOMENTS
• Trailing 2-0 after three full innings, INF Grant Macciocchi got the Hoosiers on the board with a solo home run down the right-field line. The homer was his second of the season.
• Down 3-1 in the top of the fifth after an OSU home run, INF Cole Barr hit his second long-ball in as many days, crushing a solo shot over the fence in left-field to make it a one-run deficit again.
• The Buckeyes added two insurance runs in the bottom of the seventh, one unearned, to take a 5-2 lead into the ninth inning.
• In the top of the ninth, the Hoosiers loaded the bases with two outs, but the rally ended with a popout.
• LHP Ty Bothwell (1-1) took the loss for Indiana, tossing 4.2 innings and allowing three runs. He allowed just three hits and had five strikeouts.

• RHP Nathan Stahl tossed 2.1 innings of relief for the Hoosiers, allowing two runs, one earned on two hits. He also had a pair of strikeouts.
