Hoosiers Drop Final Game of Series to Spartans

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana softball team could not overcome giving up two unearned runs to Michigan State in the first inning, as the Spartans won 2-0 on Sunday at Andy Mohr Field.
KEY MOMENTS
• Michigan State singled to open the game, then the Hoosiers got two outs. The Spartans then singled and scored two runs on an Indiana error.
• In the second inning the Hoosiers loaded the bases but could not capitalize and ended the inning leaving three on base.
NOTABLES
• Indiana is now 19-17 on the season and Michigan State 10-19.
• Emily Goodin pitched a complete game with zero earned runs and struck out seven batters.
• For the series Goodin pitched 27 innings giving up two runs with three shutouts. She struck out 19 batters for the series.
• Indiana had five hits in the game. Grace Lorsung had three of the five hits.

Indiana will host Penn State for their final weekend at Andy Mohr Field this season, May 7-9.
