Crider Earns Spot on CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division 1 Football Team

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana offensive lineman Harry Crider (2017-20) earned a spot on the 2020-201 Academic All-America® Division 1 football first team selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and announced on Monday afternoon.
Crider graduated with a criminal justice degree in Dec. 2019, and his master's in criminal justice and public safety in May 2021. He signed a free-agent deal with the Philadelphia Eagles following the 2021 NFL Draft.
The Columbus, Ind., native is the first Hoosier since safety Mark Murphy (2013-14) to collect the honor. Overall, 10 Hoosiers (13 times) have received the recognition.
The 2020-21 Academic All-America® Division I Football Team features 12 members with a 4.00 GPA and 25 members with at least a 3.90 GPA as either undergraduate or graduate student-athletes, including Crider. The 25 members on the first team have an average GPA of 3.90.
Crider appeared in 35 games with 12 starts at left guard and nine at center. A 2020 captain, he was honorable-mention All-Big Ten, a William V. Campbell Trophy semifinalist, and an Academic All-Big Ten selection for the third time.
Additionally, Crider was honored with IU's Ted Whereatt "Senior Academic Excellence" Award and the Chris Dal Sasso Award (Outstanding Lineman).
