Levy Goal Propels Hoosiers to Win over Beacons

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – It was one freshman to another that provided the goal for the Hoosiers as they won their home opener 1-0 against Valparaiso on Thursday.
KEY MOMENTS
• In the 70th minute freshman Jordyn Levy got past the defense and accepted a pass from freshman Camille Hamm. Levy put the ball in the left corner of the net with her left foot.
• Jen Blitchok had one of her two shots on goal to the bottom right corner in the seventh minute of action.
• In the late stages of the match Valparaiso had a couple chances, but the Indiana defense held strong to preserve the victory.
NOTABLES
• For Levy it was her first career goal for the Hoosiers.
• The Hoosiers held a 13-3 advantage in shots and 18-1 advantage in corner kicks.
• Indiana possessed the ball for 72 percent of the match.
