Softball Announces Fall Ball Schedule

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana softball head coach Shonda Stanton has announced the Hoosiers fall ball schedule for 2021. The schedule will include eight games, with five of them taking place in Bloomington, Ind.
All games in Bloomington will be free admission and 100 percent capacity for fans.
The Hoosiers will kick off the schedule on September 26 when they travel to Chicago for games against UIC and Bryant & Stratton. The following weekend Indiana will play doubleheaders against Louisville and Lake Land College in Bloomington.
On Oct. 8 Indiana will travel to Evansville to play Southern Indiana and they will conclude the fall ball schedule on Oct. 9 when they host Danville Area Community College on Oct. 9.
"Fall ball is for teaching and learning our system and installing a complete player development plan within the fun-zone," IU head coach Shonda Stanton said. "We are excited to get training with Team 49 and have the opportunity to compete. A highlight will be our trip to Chicago to support Athletes Unlimited. Our staff has grown, our culture is strong, and this is a driven group of student-athletes hungry to take this program to the next level."
The Hoosiers are coming off the 2021 season in which they won or split nine of their 12 Big Ten series and finished fifth in the Big Ten standings. Gabbi Jenkins, who broke the Indiana program record for career stolen bases has joined the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach. The Hoosiers return two all-conference players in Grayson Radcliffe and Grace Lorsung.
