MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Indiana women's soccer team gave up their first goal of the season in a 1-0 defeat at Memphis on Sunday.

KEY MOMENTS
• Memphis scored in the 49^th minute off a free kick from Indiana foul. The goal came on a header inside the six-yard box from Aubrey Mister.
• The Hoosiers had a corner kick in the 88^th minute, but could not produce a good scoring chance.
• In the 52^nd minute a free kick by Oliwia Wos sailed into the box and hit off the left post.
• Megan Wampler headed away a Memphis scoring chance off a corner kick in the 12^th minute of play.
• In the 27^th minute Kelly Monaco fired a shot on goal for the Hoosiers from the left side, but the Memphis keeper made the save.
• In the 31^st minute the Hoosiers were awarded a free kick on a yellow card from Memphis. Indiana's free kick from Oliwia Wos from 30 yard out went near the back post, but the Hoosiers would not capitalize on the scoring chance.

NOTABLES
• Indiana drops to 2-1-1 on the season. Memphis improves to 3-0-1.
• The Hoosiers held a 4-3 advantage in shots on goal.
• The goal given up by the Hoosiers is their first goal surrendered through four matches.
• Fouls in the match were Memphis with 24 and Indiana with 12. Memphis had three yellow cards in the match and Indiana had one.
• Freshman Kelly Monaco had five of the Hoosiers seven shots and three of the Hoosiers four shots on goal.
• Memphis had been averaging over 27 shots per game coming into this match and the Hoosier defense held them to 10 shots.
