
Hoosiers Take No. 21 Georgia Tech To Four Sets

ATLANTA, Ga. – Despite taking set one, Indiana Volleyball (5-4) couldn't keep up the momentum and fell to No. 21 Georgia Tech, 3-1 (25-20, 19-25, 21-25, 17-25).
KEY MOMENTS
• Kaley Rammelsberg got Indiana going in the opening set with the first five Hoosier points. With the score tied at 11, Brooke Westbeld and Kaley Rammelsberg threw up a block that kept the momentum in their favor.
• Up 16-14, Morgan Geddes and Saris recorded a duo of kills that led to another kill by saris followed by Savannah Kjolhede getting a kill of her own.
• Breana Edwards set up the match point for Indiana by going up for a solo block. She then turned around for the set winning kill as Indiana took set one, 25-20.
• In the second set, Edwards started out with Indiana's opening two kills. despite being down early, the Hoosiers hammered away as Rammelsberg pulled Indiana within two.
• Being down 21-17, Kjolhede and Edwards slammed down kills to claw back in it. Indiana tried to mount the comeback, but the Yellow Jackets took set two, 25-19.
• Kills by Saris and Rammelsberg put Indiana up 2-1 in the third set, but it was a back-and-forth battle from there. Westbeld secured an ace to give the Hoosiers an 8-6 lead.
• Tied at 16-16, Edwards got a solo block to put the Hoosiers back in the lead.
• Down by three Geddes attempted to put Indiana back in the lead but a quick kill by Georgia Tech gave them the advantage, 25-21.
• Out the gate in set four, three blocks got Indiana in a good spot before a kill by Edwards and back-to-back attack errors put the Hoosiers out in front 6-1. The Yellow Jackets chipped away at the Indiana lead making it 10-9.
• Saris served up her first ace of the match, but Georgia Tech went on a 5-0 scoring run to put themselves in the lead.
• Once the Yellow Jackets took the lead, the Hoosiers saw kills from Rammelsberg and Saris, but it wasn't enough to prevail over Georgia Tech.
NOTABLES
• Kaley Rammelsberg led the attack with 16 kills and a hitting percentage of .565. She also had team-leading five blocks.
• Haley Armstrong, Emily Fitzner, Morgan Geddes, Camryn Haworth, and Ashley Zulauf checked in for the Hoosiers.

• Breana Edwards tallied 14 kills.
