Hoosiers Shut Out Kansas State for 3-0 Road Victory

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Indiana women's soccer team scored three first half goals and limited Kansas State to zero first half shot as they came away with a 3-0 win in their final non-conference match of the season.
KEY MOMENTS
• In the fifth minute Paige Webber found Anna Bennett on a cross and Bennett played it into the back of the net to put the Hoosiers up 1-0.
• In the 36th minute Avery Lockwood saw the Kansas State keeper off her line and launched a chip shot from a few steps past midfield for a score.
• In the 45th minute Jen Blitchok launched a chip shot from long range and lifted it above the keeper for the Hoosiers third goal of the half.
• Freshman goal keeper Jamie Gerstenberg made key saves to keep the Wildcats off the board.
• The Hoosiers improved to 6-1-1 on the season. It is their best start since the 2013 season.
• Indiana has scored 13 goals in their last three matches combined.
• Gerstenberg collected her third straight shut out of the season and tallied four saves in the match.
• Indiana held a 14-7 shot advantage for the match.
