
IUVB Drops Two Matches On Friday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Volleyball wrapped the Indiana Invitational on Friday with matches against Chicago State and Mississippi. The Hoosiers fell to the Cougars 3-0 (21-25,28-26, 23-25) followed by a loss to Mississippi, 3-0 (22-25,22-25, 24-26).
INDIANA 0, CHICAGO STATE 3
KEY MOMENTS
• In a back-and-forth battle for most of the first set, Chicago State got ahead with two Indiana handling errors and a kill to make the score 12-9.
• Out of their timeout, Indiana saw a kill from Mady Saris to keep them alive. Pulling within two, Savannah Kjolhede hit an ace to make the score 16-15.
• A kill from Breana Edwards tied the frame at 17, but Indiana couldn't find its offense and the Cougars won the opening set, 25-21.
•Kjolhede laid down the first kill of the second frame, before Edwards helped Indiana stay ahead with a kill of her own.
• Down 9-3, the Hoosiers stormed back with back-to-back kills by Ashley Zulauf and an ace from Camryn Haworth.
