ANN ARBOR, Mich. – No. 10 Indiana got hat tricks from senior center Izzy Mandema in both contest but fell to No. 3 UCLA and LIU Brooklyn on Saturday at the Michigan Invitational.

KEY MOMENTS

Indiana hung with the Bruins for the first half, as Mandema scored two goals to keep things even at the break, tied 4-4.
Out of the half, UCLA scored five unanswered goals on the Hoosiers in the third as it took a 9-4 lead. Mandema recorded a hat trick early in the fourth quarter and bring her total for four in the game, but UCLA would hang on for the 12-6 victory.
The Hoosiers got out to an 3-2 lead over the Sharks in game two, behind goals from Mandema and Doherty with just under five minutes to go in the first. But LIU came storming back, getting evening things up with 4:31 remaining in the second. The two teams would trade goals for the remainder of the first half, as LIU would push ahead by two at the break.
Mandema and Doherty kept the Hoosiers within one, 8-7, but LIU outscored Indiana 5-2 in the final 11:36 of the game.
